Albeit the timing of the year may not be the best for everyone else, I have decided that I will do this wonderful bit of fun. Who doesn't love a surprise parcel? I know I do.

Unless it's a bill or something like that. So here is what I am promising... I will send a surprise gift to the first three people to comment on this post. This gift will be made by me and I will send it sometime within the next year. Exactly when you will receive it will be a surprise (it will probably be a surprise to me too :-D).

Of course there are some rules in this game. Here it goes:

Critter giveaway coming at ya! I have been having a blast making all kinds of different critters. There are so many free patterns available on the internet, as well as using my own creativity to develop some myself. My cats as you can imagine are loving that all of my scrap pieces of material lay out carelessly on the guest bed in my sewing studio. They find me in the sewing studio more here of late and I think they like the hum of my sewing machine. You can usually find at least two, if not three or maybe four in the room with me. I love it!

...Jenny! As promised, Jenny was notified on September 2nd that she was the winner of the drawing for the Table Runner Giveaway that I hosted in August. The table runner makes its way in the mail on today to travel to Jenny's hands.

Who doesn't love a giveaway? I have ended up with a few extra blocks from the Drunkards Path Quilt I am working on and decided to finish up a beautiful table runner to offer to my readers as a thank you!

Quilting has been so much fun for me. It has been a wonderful creative outlet to use the giftings that I have been entrusted with as well as (hopefully) bring joy to those who receive my quilts as gifts. I started quilting while I was in my 30's and hope to offer as much reviving as possible to this beautiful "craft". In my spare time (or not so spare.. lol) I have taught different ones to quilt. It brings me most joy, I think, when those interested in learning to quilt are under 20 years old. I wish the best to all of you!
