*usborne books - get 'em here! (deadline October 16th!)

Years ago I was an Usborne Consultant and I loved every minute of it!  In the early days of my homeschooling I became a lover of books.  Discarded library books. New books. Used books.  Old books. Rare books. You get the idea.  Based on my collection and my BFF's collection we would joke and say that we must think that owning the book gives the knowledge.  You know, just walk by and touch the spine.. and you are magically filled with the knowledge that lies within.    Many of the books on our shelves in the beginning of the building of our library were Usborne books.  USBORNE books are the bomb (ok so maybe now in 2010 I should have written: USBORNE books are BEAST!!).  Anway- one of my dear friends is hosting an online-Usborne Book E-show in an effort to continue to raise the monies needed to help their family travel to Eastern Europe to bring their daughter home to her "forever family".

This was one of our FAVORITE Usborne (young) books.  We read this book so many times that the mouse wore out and I had to make a new one to slip through the pages and rest in the pocket while waiting to get read again!!!
