The conditions for our Oak Trees to produce the highest amount of acorns must have been extremely dead on for this falls' crop. We have raked, raked and raked again this season trying to stay on top of the fallen leaves in order to keep a manicured yard for all potential buyers to see while looking at our property. It has been quite a job! I usually just wait until the end of the season and then rake once. The leaves that you see here are from the Hickory Tree that sits at the base of the hill in our back yard. The golden colors are just beautiful and really makes the chore of raking quite enjoyable.
Beautiful, yes; a chore, yes! Fortunately for me, my kiddos still think raking leaves is "fun" and not a chore. :-)
