*full...

.... full, yes that is what this month was.. very full.  While July was a busy month, it was a good busy.  If you are a following reader you know we are dutifully preparing our home for the market.   Remember that list?   I certainly do!  Very few things remain to be completed.   WOOT!  Looking forward to August being a bit more relaxed, not sure if that will be the case, but I can still long for that- right?

Eric (my dear hubby) has been on leave for a few weeks in order to get the repairs and upgrades finished.  I am gonna share my short comings here a bit.  Eric is a hard worker, one to get the job done and done right, he is dedicated to our family's well being, he is all these things and more which I am quite familiar with.  However, on some days not much was completed on his list of things that needed to be done.  He made a list with the jobs that would require his expertise (thing I certainly could not do).   My list included things like paint the ceilings, paint the rooms, patch walls, grout the tile, manicure the yard, etc... Of course I got help with some of these jobs, but these were mine to over see for the most part.  I would work pretty diligently to get my  jobs done.  Some days Eric did very little to nothing on his list. This would frustrate me. So silly of me, but it is true. The reason it is silly is because I KNOW in my KNOWER that Eric will ALWAYS get the job done- always.  Many times over I felt that the Lord must be a bit tired of trying to get my attention so as to remind me that which I know.  I had to apologize several times to my dear husband for my frustrations. I am happy to say that each major job on his list such as remove some of the siding to replace damaged wood, replacing an exterior window sill that had some damaged wood among other large jobs, have all been completed!  I hope I have learned a lesson in patience and trust.

There has been time for some friendly visits as well in the midst of all the work!  A dear friend of mine who moved sometime last year came for a visit during the fourth and I got to visit with her briefly.  Then she headed out to the Carolina beaches to enjoy some R & R!   Here we are with our kiddo's getting ready to head down to downtown for the 4th of July parade.  It was a great day.

Eric, Henry and I have also made a park visit a part of our regular morning routine which Frayja is very grateful for.  Her most loved part of the park walk is the free time at the end where she finds herself running through the sand in the volley ball court!

Several other special things happened during this month, which I will save for another post.  I hope you all had a great July!

  3. I'm still working on patience ~ probably why I'm still an Army wife with at least one more move to go. Nothing tests patience quite like a move ~ IMHO!! Hang in there!

    Frayja is getting so big!!
